Bio: I'm a newspaper reporter turned freelance writer and elementary school teacher's aide. I like pretty shoes, hip-hop, books, TV, the beach and changing my hair. I don't like it when people leave empty shopping carts in the middle of parking lots, and I find it hard to trust people who don't enjoy cupcakes. I'm wife to the sweetest man in the world, mama to a third grader (the Superhero) and kindergartner (Sweet Pea). I believe in the healing power of wine after a long day.

Hi Maisy. After seeing me whine about how it’s already colder in Boston than all our winters in Miami, Hilary Kraus urged me to get in touch with you 🙂 I was at the S-R around 2005-2006 (then at AP Houston and Miami) and moved to Newton this summer. Also a freelancer with two kiddos (newly minted kindergartener and almost 3-year-old). Nice to e-meet you! That would be great! I, too, struggle with the winters, even though I grew up in Spokane’s snowy wonderland.
I will definitely give you a call in the next week or so, when the schedule gets a little less crazy. I will be calling from a 509 area code, because I haven’t changed my number in 10 years. 🙂
