I feel like it’s been a while since I posted. I promise I have not abandoned my Wild Rumpus.
Super busy with work this past week, plus I had to have a minor surgery to straighten out my newly broken nose. But the good news: I can breathe so well now. It rocks the Casbah! I am so jazzed to smell my first sniff of sizzling bacon.
I don’t feel as terrible as I expected to afterward. My bones are back where they belong, so it’s only mildly sore from the manipulation process. And I got a new hair cut and color on Wednesday, so at least I have that going for me.
The bad news: I can’t pick up kids or anything heavy for a few days. One of my eyes are blackened in the corner. And I have a big, ol’ cast/splint thing plastered to my face, which is how I will spent the next week, including my birthday tomorrow.
But, totally worth it to be able to breathe so clearly, and hopefully have a straight nose in the end.
I have requested my family pick me up a hot pink Sharpie today, so I can decorate my splint to feel festive as I climb another step over the hill. My daughter already has some sparkly stickers, so I think I’ll be good to go.
I’ll probably lay low on the blog until the middle of next week, so I can wrap up all my work assignments. But I’ll be back… and I hope you will be, too!
xoxo
God bless you for braving a face-splint. I have no idea what that could even look like, but I don’t think I’d have the courage to leave the house! Mom’s gotta do what she’s gotta do, right?

Oh, I don’t plan on leaving the house unless absolutely necessary! 🙂 It’s a big cast-like thing that covers my nose, keeping the reset bones in place.
I’d post a pic, but, well, you know …

Yeah, I wouldn’t even post a pic if someone PAID me. May your bones heal quickly.
