The writer’s block has gotten a hold of me, y’all.
During the past week, I’ve abandoned four or five entries because I decided they were A) too stupid, B) not good enough to post, C) would take too long to make good enough to post, D) drunken babble (but mmmm, that wine was good Sunday night), or E) all of the above.
My brain needs a laxative, and I was surprised to discover wine isn’t it.
I’m bummed because the windows of time I have to write are about the size of the windows in my son’s Matchbox car. I feel like I’ve been spinning my wheels writing, and it’s frustrating.
Does anyone have any tips to propel me out of this rut I’m in? Help meeeee.
No I just wrote a farewell to my pj pants that was both sentimental and heartfelt. Honestly – I need to get out!! Just write- even if you don’t like it- I will! 🙂

I loved that post, Lisa.
You’re right. I just need to keep on keepin’ on. Everything isn’t going to be my favorite thing I’ve ever written. The point is that it’s getting done.
Thanks for the input! 🙂

No problem! I hope you find her prompts helpful and the nice thing about her page is that she doesn’t send spam or ask for money.

I realize this is an older post and I’m late to the party, but I read this article a few days ago on overcoming writers block. It’s a good article. I totally agree that when I have writers block, it’s because I’m bored. Anyway, thought you might want to take a look.
