When it comes to my own personal style, I like bright colors and fun prints, but not necessarily all at the same time.
But today, I embraced a variety of hues thanks to my Child Stylists. Superhero, 5, went for bold colors, immediately honing in on the neon yellow shirt, to be worn under the blue-hued striped t-shirt. He also chose a purple watch, and a heart-shaped Tarina Tarantino necklace with a skull head center and outline of turquoise rhinestones. The socks had red, pink and black stripes, which thankfully, were hidden under my (much-loved, but pretty beat up) navy blue Adidas sneakers.
Sweet Pea, 2, chose a somewhat normal color pants. At first, I saw her eying some purple ones and sent her telepathic messages to avoid them because … wait for it … today I went out in public wearing their outfit.
Granted, it was just an indoor play space, and all the parents were too busy supervising the Lord of the Flies situation to notice. But still. (Shout out to my friend Jenn, who met us there with her kids, for not even batting an eye at this ensemble.)
Up for tomorrow: Another color explosion. Sweet Pea already chose the bulk of it.
See Day 1 here.
This is so sweet!! They will remember it forever!! You’re a GREAT mom!!

Aw, thanks, Lisa! That is so sweet.
It’s actually kind of nice to have a break from choosing my own clothes. They are much more about the contents of my closet than I am.

I think the kiddos are on their way to starting their own fashion line. Brooklyn hipsters have nothing on these kids’ eye for color combos! 🙂
